Their practice revolves around the body, Installation, activism, community, dance, performance and a food-related social practice. Mckenna received their Certificate of Artistry from the New Orleans Center for Creation in 2021, graduating with president's honors. Mckenna is currently working towards their BFA in sculpture at Maine College of Art & Design. Their work has also been featured in Scholastics in 2020. The Consulate General of France in Louisiana selected their submission. You can find Mckenna most Sunday hosting sculpture dinner parties, often in room 508 at MECA&D.
I create objects, paintings and events that express the human experience. My work aims to deepen individuals' understanding of each other and the world we live in. Transparency is a conceptual and visual element I'm exploring. My current works are assemblages of recognizable and unrecognizable materials including metal, layetex, and natural materials.
